Garden seats have been around for centuries. They originally were used in the garden, but I like them when they move inside too. I use them in my home and in my garden. They also travel around like most things in my house. These blue and white garden seats served as side tables or extra seating on my screened porch.

Now they've taken up residence on my front porch.

Garden seats don't come in just drum shapes. My absolute favorite garden seat takes the form of an elephant. I first used it on my patio.

Of course the elephant traveled too. When I decided to swap the patio furniture with the screened porch furniture, the elephant had a new spot on the porch.

My daughter uses a geometric gold garden seat in her living room. It's a side table for drinks and snacks, a resting place for a book or magazine she's reading, or many times becomes extra seating.

My yellow garden seat changed locations too. It originally was on the front porch.

Currently, this yellow garden seat is a pop of color in my cottage garden.
