MY NEW TO ME DINING ROOM CHAIRS

For many years my dining room table was surrounded by some caned-back Louis IV chairs with suede seats and nail head trim. I’ve always loved them.  I was playing with the idea of new chairs after we updated the kitchen, but never found anything I liked better until. . . .   I saw these wonderful black lacquered vintage chairs.  I knew they would be perfect with the black modern vibe in the kitchen.

MY NEW CHAIRS

They were made by the Italian design firm,Costantini Pietro, in the 1980’s.

Love the lacquer finish and the details on the curved back.

WONDERFUL LACQUER FINISH AND DETAILS

The “tablecloth” is from my fabric stash.  The length was perfect.  All I had to do was hem the edges.

MY FABRIC STASH “TABLECLOTH”

Would you have given up your much-loved Louis chairs for these black beauties?  I did.  They’re for sale on my  Instagram page @shopmycollectedhome.

MORE TULIP MAGNOLIA

My Tulip Magnolia is my harbinger of Spring.  I previously shared the view from inside.  Here she is in all her pink glory outside.  And, she’s always just in time for Easter.

MY TULIP MAGNOLIA SURPRISE

I always look forward to my tulip magnolia blooming and filling my window with pink.  Last year a late frost damaged the blooms.  I was afraid that the same thing had happened again this year with another late frost.  I was so surprised when I walked in to the room and saw that the tulip magnolia blooms had survived and created my first sign of Spring again.

The blooms always arrive in time for Easter.

Happy Easter
