ORANGE

 I don’t know why, but I like orange and dislike red.  I’m sharing some sprinkles of orange in my sunroom.

The ottoman is in a Trina Turk orange print, the throw is orange with orange tassels, and the finials are Christmas ornaments that I just couldn’t put away.

I decoupaged the elephant on to some books I covered in orange wrapping paper.

I used this pillow as a seat cushion to protect the caning on my Chippendale chair.

I also have some coral prints in mirrored frames.  This is one of them.  I have six different ones layered on my windows.

MISTAKE GONE RIGHT

When we were updating our kitchen, some cabinets were sent with the wrong dimensions and couldn’t be used. Of course I found a spot for one of the mistakes in the attached butler’s pantry. It was the wrong depth for the kitchen but the perfect depth to rest on my existing low pantry cupboard.

 I purchased more of the kitchen hardware for both cabinets.  The bottom half of the new cabinet holds spices and baking supplies while platters and plates I don’t use frequently are on the upper shelves.

I use my lettuce leaf plates all the time. I store them on the shelves of a tall pot rack. 

FYI, that bundle of tassels hanging on the pot rack is my fun addition. They’re new camel tassels! Camels are allowed to dress up too.

ECLECTIC MIX AT BUCKEYSTOWN DESIGN CO-OP

I have to say that I have quite a mix at this month's sale.  But, I think that's my signature.  I'm excited to add more of the very popular bread boards.  I have some that are stenciled this month.  I have three different sizes of dough bowls, and I filled one of them to the brim with balustrade candle sticks and gold faux antlers.  I'm excited about my new santos busts and my religious statuary.  I also have some wonderful burlap-lined french baskets.   I always have a selection of clocks and chandeliers.  Recently I've been selling jewelry with a bohemian vibe.  If you look closely you'll see that I decorated a demijohn with beaded and tasseled necklaces.  New this month are small demijohns with roman numerals on them.   I even slip-covered an ottoman.  Don't miss a fabulous vintage framed bird book plate too.
