We're Welcoming Spring at Our March Sale at the CoOp

Well Mother Nature fulfilled my wish for snow.
But, we're all about Spring at Buckeystown Design CoOp this month.

Here's what I'll have.

What says Spring more than a rabbit and greenery?

How clever to turn this huge champagne crate into a bench!

The stenciled bucket is made from old tin.  It can stand alone or hang on a door or wall.

This vintage princess dresser is a soft grey.  The mirror is beveled.

It's hard not to keep this cow weathervane and the lightening rods.

This antique European hamper would make a perfect coffee table with storage.
Don't miss the candle holders made from porch balustrades.

An antique military chest is another coffee table option.
I have several vintage stenciled restaurant trays.

This clock is only decorative.  I'm considering hanging one on the outside of my garage.

Who knew that a hay fork could hold your jewelry?

I'll always have barware.  This cart can be a bar or a mobile kitchen island.

Favorite Vintage Find: Industrial Drafting Table

I was so excited when I found this huge wood and iron industrial drafting table,
and even happier when I was able to fit it into my vehicle and take it home.
I've never had a drafting table this old or this unique.

I'm displaying it flat, but it also is adjustable and can tilt at different angles.
Here it is in the Design CoOp ready for our next sale.

You can see that the height as well as the angle is adjustable using knobs and iron gears.

I added this vintage oak and iron stool.  I dry brushed the stool with some light grey paint and upholstered the seat in Belgian linen.

The antique wicker flower basket is filled with industrial blueprints.
The sheets are five feet long.

I'm really having trouble parting with this special vintage find.

Black, White, and Metallics

It's time for the next sale at the CoOp.  Yea.
I just finished with my space.  If I had to describe it this month I'd say it's mostly black and white with metallics as accents.  Mixed metals are good.  You'll see gold and brass combined with silver and mercury for sparkle.  There may be some turquoise sprinkled around too.

I can hardly wait for tomorrow.

Recap: Best Sale Ever at Buckeystown Design Co-Op

I'm finally getting around to updating you about our very first sale in our new home:

I have to say that last weekend surpassed our expectations.  Not only did all our friends come and support us, but a steady stream of new friends came to our shop the entire weekend.

Our Customers/Our Friends
We snapped this image of our space right before we opened our doors.

The Start of the Sale
One of the partners had been hoarding pieces of vintage wrought iron.
(Yes, we're all hoarders/collectors.)
A local welder assembled the pieces per her instructions.
The double shelves and counter are made from wide reclaimed wood.

Our Store Counter
We filled the space with vintage finds and home decor.
(Link to the album with our treasures is at the end of this post.)
What makes us unique though is that we offer home design consultations, custom upholstery and rugs, decorator fabrics, and paint for our customers too.

Fabric Sample Books
Upholstered Pair of Wing Chairs
Rug Samples
We even had original art by our talented friend and local artist, Eleanor Madison.

At the end of the first day we popped the cork on our champagne and toasted all of you
for making our opening day such a success.

Cheers to a Great First Day

Overwhelmed by this weekend.

Humbled by your comments.

Blessed to do what we love.

Thank you
