I have Russian Sage in several places in my garden, but its happiest location is along the sidewalk under the Limelight Hydrangea.

The bees love the Russian Sage.

If you look through the Russian Sage you'll see my Carly Rose Grass in the upper right corner.
RUSSIAN SAGE AND CARLY ROSE GRASS |
I'll admit that grasses can become very invasive. I had several Carly Rose grasses in the front garden. I moved all but this one to the back yard. I'll also admit that every Spring I divide the grass in half so it stays a manageable size.
CARLY ROSE GRASS FILLING THE CURVE IN THE SIDEWALK |
I love the way it fills the curve of the sidewalk and sways in front of the porch.

What large statement plants do you use in your garden?

Gorgeous garden, Kathy! My Ruussian Sage never did well. I need to try again. Love the look!
ReplyDeleteHappy Summer in your beautiful garden. Loved these images.
Hi Sarah. I'm not sure how much sun your Russian Sage has, but the one that gets the most sun is doing the best. I have some in only afternoon sun and they're not as full. Maybe a different location?? Anyway, I hope you are well. Thanks for stopping by and commenting. It's always nice to hear from you.
