ART IN THE KITCHEN

I have several pieces of art in my kitchen and pantry.  I think it really adds interest to the space.

ART IN MY KITCHEN
OVERSIZED ART IN MY PANTRY

When I saw this image of a kitchen that substituted upper cabinets for a shelf with artwork, I knew that this was my new favorite way to display art in the kitchen.  The addition of a mirror and the cabinets painted a dark color made me love it even more.

Here's another view of the space.  The counter and splash are soapstone.

Here's another example with a marble splash.  I love the green and the brass gallery too.

This next image is just as lovely, although not as dramatic.

This rustic farmhouse kitchen uses the same idea in a much more casual way.
It would be so easy to recreate.

This next kitchen uses a double shelf for its art.
What do you think about a table for a work island?  I'm coveting the black and white floor.

Would you add a gallery wall shelf to your kitchen?
