Door + Sawhorse = Table

Check out this old chippy door that I found.

I also found this large metal sawhorse.  What's so cool about it is that the legs fold up completely into the top.  So compact and portable.

I combined the two to make a very shabby/industrial table.

Just for fun I added a crystal door knob.

I could see this as a sofa table or as a buffet table on a porch.

Sharing on:

I'll have it for sale at the next Stylish Patina Barn Sale.

Bracelets, Bangles, and Cuffs

I have always loved jewelry.  I remember playing dress up with my sisters and my cousins.  Our favorite activity was to invade our Moms' jewelry boxes.  We would totally cover our arms and necks with sparkle.

I guess I'm still like that.  Check out my bling.

Another accessory that I've been wearing for years is huge watches.  I just love the look and am so glad I'm seeing them in fashion.

Breitling Men's Watch

You can imagine how thrilled I am that not only am I seeing these over-sized  watches, but also in the mix are wrists buried in bangles.  This is my new favorite fashion statement.

Are you ready to load up your wrist?  I sure am.
I love the fact that I'm not limited to one lone accessory.

Some of What I'll Have at the Lucketts Market

This is just a fraction of what I'll have.  I'm actually filling both my trucks for the sale.  In addition to the furniture,  I have boxes filled with old cameras, garden decor, books, shells, vintage bottles, wooden and metal boxes and architectural fragments to name a few items.

I'll have a pair of vintage garden chairs, an old tool chest with a union jack on the inside, coffee sacks for your projects, and vintage letters.

Notice the rope handles.

This vintage caned back chair has been newly re-upholstered with lattice fabric.

Notice the buttons on the seat.

How stinking cute are these vintage bar stools?

Some shakers for your bar.

More bar ware.  Note the original box with faux animal print on the lid.
Vintage Window,  Old Tin, Garden Tables, Enamel Top Kitchen Work Table, Vintage Mini Books, Old Bottles, Shells, Vintage Pediment

Vintage Campaign Chest, Old Window (  I put a decal on the only section with glass and added chalkboard in the sections where the glass was missing.)

I set up this industrial table with iron legs as a potting bench.  I have some gardening books, planters, and these wonderful chicken wire cloches.
Industrial File Cabinet, Wooden Mold, Typewriter Table (would be a great side table in a bedroom),Corona Typewriter, Vintage Cameras, Metal Drawers, and a Vintage Fan.

This is the leopard and green vanity seat that I featured before.

I can't wait to meet all of you.  Please stop by and say hello.

Kathy

Fashion to Furniture

Have you noticed that the patterns and colors in fashion translate to decor and vice versa?

I follow many blogs and recently two of my go to blogs for inspiration, Marcus Design, and
Isabella and Max Rooms, discussed leopard and green.

This outfit from Isabella and Max Rooms via House of Fifty.

And this fabulous office space via Marcus Design.

Not quite so elegant, but I was inspired to use this combination with two recent finds.
The first is this iron vanity bench.  It was already green.  Yea!!

Before

The other piece is a barrel with a lift top and storage inside.

Before
For the barrel, I added foam and matching cording  around the top.  At the base I added nail head trim to finish the edge.  I tried a brighter green on this piece and left the brass rings unpainted.

After
For the bench I cut a piece of wood to fit then added foam, fabric and matching cording around the edge.

After

I'll have these for sale at the Lucketts Sale this weekend.  I also hope to have photos of some of the other things I'll have there later in the week.
